This piece draws Distinctions between economic structures specifically in relation to emerging economic systems that are tied to incorporating a capitalist ideology to enable them to function competitively. In relation to the global economic structures the so-called third way functions to reinforce neo-imperialistic processes.
The dividing line between what is acceptable or not in corporate exploits is no longer apparent, as third world subjugation serves not only developed countries but also countries maintained in underdevelopment who are given the means to develop to a point that serves the interests of developed countries. The car design has its origins in Germany the piece is made in China for a western market.
The work entitled Designed in Germany MADE IN CHINA was displayed
on the streets and rail system of Berlin in 1998.
